Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 1/4 cup wholewheat flour
- 1 egg
- 1 oz yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 3 tbsp. sugar
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in water and sugar. Set aside for 10 minutes.
- Add the butter, salt and egg. Mix in the flour. Knead into a soft smooth ball. While you knead you may rub your hands with a little oil.
- Rub a little oil or melted butter over the dough. Cover and allow to rise until double in size.
- Punch down and shape into buns. Place in a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees F or until golden brown. Cool before serving.
