Stuffed Herbed Hops Bread is one step above a simple Hops bread.

Ingredients
- BREAD:
- 6 cups cake flour
- 5 tbsp. shortening
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 cup water
- 2 pk yeast
- 2 tsp. dried parsley
- 2 tsp. basil
- 2 tsp. paprika
- STUFFING:
- 1 to mato seeded and diced
- 1 cup cheddar cheese grated
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
- 1/2 sweet pepper chopped
- 1 cup pineapple chopped
- 1/2 cup grated carrots
- 1 pack turkey pastrami sliced
- 1 tsp. chive
- 1 tsp. thyme
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 cup red onion
- SAUCE:
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp. mustard
- Salt water to harden top
Instructions
- Sift flour, add yeast and mix. Cut in lard, add basil, thyme and paprika. Mix. Add water and salt slowly. Make a soft dough. Leave to rest for 1 hour.
- NOW TO MAKE THE FILLING
- Add tomato, sweet pepper, pineapple, carrots, turkey pastrami, chive, thyme, chopped onions and red onion in a bowl. Grate the cheeses. Set aside.
- Mix the ingredients for the sauce. Add the sauce to the sweet peppers etc. and mix. Add the grated cheese and mix again. Set aside.
- The dough has rested properly now and has doubled its size. Punch down and make a smooth dough.
- Divide into balls and place on a floured surface. Flatten the dough about 5 inches in diameter.
- Add about 1 tbsp of the filling, then fold in the edges and turnover to form a smooth dough.
- Place on a greased baking pan. Preheat oven at 225 degrees F for 10 minutes. Then bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes or until golden. Brush with salt water and bake for another 5 minutes.
