  • 12 oz flour
  • 12 eggs
  • 1 lb granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. lime juice or 2 tsp. orange juice
  • 1/2 tsp lemon essence or vanilla essence


  • Beat whites of eggs until stiff then add yolks and lime or orange juice.
  • Add sugar and essence. Fold in flour and baking powder. Bake 350 degrees for 1/2 hour.
