- 2 1/4 cups pastry flour*
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 cup butter
- 3/4 cups confectioner's sugar
- * If you don't have pastry flour, here is a simple substitution: Measure 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, then remove 4 tbsp. and 1 tsp of flour. Replace this flour you removed with 4 tbsp. and 1 tsp. of cornstarch. Then, sift the flour twice. You can now proceed to the recipe.
- Sift the flour and cornstarch mixture. Set aside. Cream the butter and sugar until light. Pour the cream into the flour mixture. Mix to form a soft dough. Roll out the dough and cut into desired shapes with a cookie cutter. Bake in a preheated oven at 225 degrees F for about 45 minutes.
