Sweet and sour chicken is my go to meal when I want to do something nice on a Sunday. It’s simple enough to do in time for Sunday lunch, yet tasty and healthful without the colouring you normally get when you buy it at the restaurant.
This dish is easy to prepare. You will need to peel and devein the shrimp. You may remove the tail before you cook it but I find that in the end leaving the tails on made the dish look even more enticing and exotic. It’s all up to you how you like your shrimp. I also think that the shrimp taste best when it is marinated in some minced garlic, green seasoning, and pepper flakes.
Usually I eat caraili by itself because of its bitter taste but when you have it in a dish like beef with caraili it takes on a different persona. Yes, beef with caraili is a little bitter but once you get over the bitterness, it is really great.
